You may be aware that Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. Recognizing this universal appeal, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga in December 2014.
This is the 5th year that the International Day of Yoga is being celebrated, which aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga.
BCICAI in partnership with the Indian Embassy, Bahrain will organise a workshop on the occasion of 5th International Yoga Day - 'Yoga for Heart' - on 21st June 2019 (Friday) from 8.30 am at Crowne Plaza, Manama.
We are delighted to inform that HE. Shri Alok Kumar Sinha, Ambassador of India to The Kingdom of Bahrain will be Chief Guest of the Event.
The session is open to members of BCICAI and their families (Children above 8 years who can do yoga will be allowed).
The workshop will be lead by Art of Living prominent yoga teacher Mr. Sreenivasan Konnat who will explain to us the importance of yoga and conduct the workshop while Shri. Rudresh Kumar Singh, a highly proficient Yoga Teacher shall demonstrate Yoga asanas.
Please ensure to assemble by 8.15 am so that we can start the program in time. Satvik breakfast will be served after the end of the session.
You may bring yoga mats if you wish to do yoga or you can also just participate in the workshop by listening to the prominent speakers.
